
Jackson's Creek and Fort Worth's Essian added to Central Baseball League All-Star team

Durham, N.C. â Jackson's Ryan Creek and Fort Worth's Jim Essian have been named to the 2004 Central Baseball League All-Star Team. They will replace San Angelo's Juan Rocha and Fort Worth's Angel Aragon, who are both injured. The 2004 All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, July 20 at LaGrave Field in Fort Worth, Texas and will feature the Central Baseball League taking on the Northeast League.
Creek is 5-1 in 14 starts with a 3.10 earned run average. In 87 innings of work, he has allowed 36 runs, 30 earned, on 70 hits, while striking out 76 and walking 31. Creek is in his ninth year of professional baseball and third season with the Senators.
Essian, who will start for the third straight year, is hitting .249 with 53 hits, including five home runs and 25 runs batted in. He is second in the league in runs scored (54) stolen bases (32) and on-base percentage (.430). Essian has 16 doubles and one triple for the Cats this season.
