Jacks Close Out First Half, Prepare To Host TCL All-Star Game

The East Texas Pump Jacks return home to historic Driller Park to close out the first half of the season with a two-game series against the Victoria Generals Tuesday and Wednesday. With the first half coming to a close, the team is also busy preparing for the 2013 TCL All-Star Game, to be hosted by the Jacks on Tuesday, July 9.

This Tuesday is Family Night presented by the Longview News-Journal. The Pump Jacks are offering affordable family fun and exciting baseball, a can't-miss combination. Get a family pack of four grandstand tickets for just ten $10, or pair the four tickets with four meals for the low cost of $25.

The Jacks are giving fans an affordable way to kick off their Independence Day early with Kids Are Free Night on Wednesday. Kids 12 and under get into the ballpark at no cost, so come out to Driller Park and kick off your holiday with the defending champions.

Wednesday also marks the end of the first half of the TCL season. Beginning Thursday, all team records will reset to 0-0 for the second half of the summer. The two teams with the best records in the second half of the season will secure playoff berths, joining the Brazos Valley Bombers and Victoria Generals in the postseason.

After opening the second half with a four-game road trip, all eyes in the TCL will focus on East Texas for the 2013 TCL All-Star Game. Future major leaguers will descend on historic Driller Park for the first TCL All-Star Game hosted by the Pump Jacks. Pregame festivities include a home run derby, with representatives from each of the six teams, and much more.
