East Texas PumpJacks News Release
The East Texas Pump Jacks return to Driller Park this weekend for a four-day homestand full of can't-miss promotions and giveaways! Whether you're looking to cool off, get a free T-shirt, save money, or see the best fireworks this side of Dallas, this weekend is what you've been waiting for.
Not only does this homestand have some great promotions, but it promises excellent baseball as well. Only a few weeks remain in the first-half playoff race, so every game is important.
The homestand begins Thursday night, when the Pump Jacks play host to the Acadiana Cane Cutters. The series opens with the second Thirsty Thursday of the season, when fans can beat the heat with 50-cent soft drinks and one-dollar draft beers all night long. Grab a frosty beverage from our Bottoms Up beer taps - the incredible beer system that fills your cup from the bottom! - and enjoy the Jacks taking on the Cutters.
The Pump Jacks wrap up their series with the Cane Cutters one night later with Fireworks Friday presented by SWEPCO and CBS 19. The Pump Jacks will light up the night sky with a spectacular postgame fireworks show, set to a brand new soundtrack. This is the second of six Pump Jacks fireworks shows this season, and with more than 25 displays since the team arrived in East Texas, they are among the most-anticipated fireworks displays for miles and miles.
The fun and promotions continue over the weekend, kicking off with All-Star T-shirt Giveaway Night presented by GymBox Fitness on Saturday. The first 500 fans will receive a FREE T-shirt bearing the logo of the 2013 TCL All-Star Game, which East Texas will host next month. The Jacks take on the Woodlands Strykers at 7:05 p.m., but the gates will open at 6:00, when the team will begin handing out shirts.
The four-night stint wraps up on Sunday with Sunday Fun Day, presented by theGOspot.com. Frozen margaritas and Bud Light Lime Straw-ber-ritas will cost just $2.50, as will Sunday-only servings of chips and salsa. Kids can enjoy face painting and the return of the Water Gun Battle, a favorite on-field contest.
Sunday is also a doubleheader, meaning fans can enjoy twice the baseball for one low price! The first game will begin at 6:05 p.m., with the second kicking off twenty minutes after the first one ends.
Tickets are available in advance online, by phone, or at the Pump Jacks office at 106 North Kilgore Street, #201 in downtown Kilgore. Tickets are also available at Driller Park's ticket office the night of each game.
