The JackHammers traded LHP Roger Kalinowski to the RedHawks this morning. Kalinowski is 0-and-1 with a 2.45 ERA, one hit batter, two runs allowed (both earned), four strikeouts, six walks allowed and nine hits allowed in 7.1 innings pitched through 11 relief appearances. Opponents are batting .321 against him. Kalinowski, 23, is a rookie out of Long Island University, and resides in West Islip, NY.

The JackHammers received infielder Brian Sprout from the RedHawks for Kalinowski. Sprout is batting .224 (15-for-67) with two doubles, three home runs, nine runs scored and 10 RBI through 21 games played. He played most of his games at shortstop. The JackHammers have him penciled in as tonight's starting second baseman and batting seventh. Sprout stands 6'1" and weighs 200 pounds. He bats and throws right-handed.
