JackHammers to Serve United States Military

JOLIET, IL – The Joliet JackHammers will honor those who serve in the United States military through two very special ticket promotions. The JackHammers begin the 2003 season at 7:05 PM on Friday, May 23 versus the Gary (IN) SouthShore RailCats at Silver Cross Field in downtown Joliet.

On Memorial Day, May 26, the JackHammers charitable effort will be directed towards the Military Relief Fund. All fans purchasing a Box Seat ticket ($9 value) on May 26 will have $3 of each ticket purchase go directly into the Military Relief Fund.

The first Wednesday of every month carries great significance during the JackHammers season. The first Wednesday dates include June 4, July 16 and August 6. On the aforementioned days, military personnel should visit the JackHammers ticket office and display valid military identification in order to receive up to four complimentary General Admission tickets.

"This is the JackHammers way of showing their strong support for our troops and their families," said Steve Malliet, the JackHammer Executive Vice President and General Manager.

Currently, the JackHammers have full season tickets, group packages, mini-plans (five and nine games) and individual game ticket available for purchase. Group packages include the luxury suites, picnics, DesRochers Spa & Party Patio (hot tub), Dairy Queen Birthday Bash, fundraising and Dream Team.
