Augusta GreenJackets News Release
Hagerstown, MD - The GreenJackets (50-20, 21-16) and Hagerstown Suns (29-38, 10-26) game on Monday, July 30, has been cancelled because of poor field conditions. The game never got underway and will be made up on Wednesday as part of a double-header with the first game scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
Rain came into the area overnight Sunday and into Monday morning, however the tarp was never put on the field. Despite the blue skies and the sun shining down the field could not be made ready in time for the game and was deemed unplayable.
The GreenJackets will play their regularly scheduled game on Tuesday morning with first pitch at 11:00 a.m. Monday night's starter Kevin Pucetas (12-2, 1.67) will make the start on Tuesday.
