Dallas Jackals News Release
The Dallas Jackals lost to the Utah Warriors by the score of 36-26 at Choctaw Stadium on Saturday night. The match, dominated early by Utah, saw the home team outscore opposition 26-8 after giving up the first 28 points of the match.
Nico Revol, Aco Moroni, and Juampi Zeiss inked their name across the score sheet for the Jackals. Zeiss contributed two tries.
The warriors blitzed the Jackals almost immediately after the opening kick. They got up 28-0 and, utilizing speed and precision passing, appeared impenetrable. However, the Jackals seemed to turn a switch after falling behind by four phases.
Revol drove through the Utah line near the posts to begin the climb back into the game. Moroni followed up with a weaving try before ensuring touch. For a moment, it appeared Moroni's feet slipped past the try zone back line, but a quick review proved Aco was within the lines.
Zeiss nearly had a hat trick tonight. The Argentinian pounded his way through Utah players to score his first try. He added his second late in the half, which lifted Jackals players and fans off their seats.
Martin Elias went 3 for 4 for conversions on the evening.
NEXT HOME MATCH: Dallas Jackals host NOLA Gold on June 10 for Military Appreciation Night presented by Lockheed Martin. Match begins at 7:05 p.m. (CT). The game will be broadcasted on KTXA and streamed on The Rugby Network.
NEXT UP: Dallas Jackals visit Rugby ATL at Silverbacks Park in Atlanta, GA. The match will be available to watch on FS1.
