Odessa Jackalopes News Release

(Odessa, TX) - On Thursday Jackalopes' mascot, Slapjack, and members of the Odessa Jackalopes front office worked with "Meals on Wheels" in delivering food to help celebrate the non-profit organization's three millionth meal served by the Midland branch.

"It was an amazing privilege to serve meals (on Thursday) to some West Texas citizens," said Jackalopes Director of Community Relations, Kyle Rodgers. "Meals on Wheels is a wonderful organization that serves those who need assistance in getting their everyday meals."

As the hockey operations efforts continue this offseason for the Jackalopes, so do their efforts in the community. The organization would like to thank "Meals on Wheels" for allowing the team to be involved in their celebration of the three millionth meal served by the Midland branch.

The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The team will begin its 13th season in October. Season tickets, mini-plans, and single game tickets are available by calling (432) 552-PUCK or visiting jackalopes.org.
