Jack Blake Named to USL Championship Team of the Week

San Diego, CA - Midfielder Jack Blake was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after scoring a pair of goals in SD Loyal's 2-1 win against Phoenix Rising FC on June 19th.

Blake's goals came from long range and helped set the tone in SD Loyal's win against Phoenix. He also had two key passes that led to threatening plays. Blake also completed 24 of 32 overall passes in the match. The Englishman has become a threat in the SD Loyal offense in recent games. He leads the team in scoring with four goals.

Blake was one of the first offseason acquisitions as Manger Landon Donovan wanted to boost his attack for the 2021 USL Championship season. This selection is the second in as many weeks, Alejandro Guido was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week as the Player of the Week the week of June 7th-13th.

SD Loyal continues preparation for its next match, a Week 11 affair at Las Vegas Lights FC Friday June 25th at Cashman Field. SD Loyal will then have a quick turnaround and host Oakland Roots on Tuesday June 29 at Torero Stadium at USD.
