
Ironpigs Rally to Beat Norfolk

Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
(Allentown, PA) - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (37-30) rallied down seven runs against the Norfolk Tides (32-35) to win 10-7 on Tuesday evening. The 'Pigs hit four home runs in the game.
The Tides jumped out to a 2-0 lead against Ricardo Sanchez in the top of the fourth inning. Jonathan Arauz hit a two-run double that scored Gunnar Henderson and Shed Long Jr. Arauz then made the third out of the inning as he was trying to reach third base on the play.
Norfolk extended their lead to 7-0 in the top of the fifth inning against Sanchez. Terrin Vavra hit at two-run double that scored DJ Stewart and Robert Neustrom. Jordan Westburg hit a three-run home run that scored Cadyn Grenier and Vavra along with himself. Jonathan Hennigan (3-0) entered the game to record the final out of the inning. The left-hander ended up pitching 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief.
Lehigh Valley was able to get after DL Hall in the bottom of the fifth inning as they scored five runs to cut Norfolk's lead to 7-5. Scott Kingery hit his third home run of the season for the first run of the inning then Dalton Guthrie scored on a throwing error by Arauz. Darick Hall hit an RBI single that scored Drew Maggi and Will Toffey hit a sacrifice fly that scored Hall. The final run of the inning came on a Dustin Peterson RBI single that scored Rafael Marchan. DL Hall left the game after 4 2/3 innings. Ryan Conroy recorded the final two outs of the inning.
Hall hit a go-ahead three-run home run against Kevin Smith (0-5) in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Lehigh Valley an 8-7 lead. The home run was his 18th of the season. Peterson homered against Smtih in the bottom of the seventh inning - his fifth of the season. Mickey Moniak homered against Smith in the bottom of the eighth inning - his second of the season to give Lehigh Valley a 10-7 lead.
Nick Duron struck out the side in the top of the ninth inning to earn his third save of the season.
The IronPigs and Norfolk Tides continue their series on Wednesday evening. First pitch on is at 7:05 p.m.
