Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
In the final game before the All-Star Break, the fifth-place IronPigs (36-54) play the finale of a three-game series against the first-place Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees (53-37) -- New York's top affiliate. By winning the night cap 6-3 (dropped the opener 3-1), the 'Pigs snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 1-2 on this four-game trip. Still, Lehigh Valley is just 6-13 in its last 19 contests... SWB had its season-high seven-game winning streak snapped in Game Two last night, but the Yanks remain 13-4 in their last 17 affairs -- going from 1.5 GB to 2.0 GA in North.
First-pitch is at 1:05 p.m... Following the break, the Pigs start an eight-game West Division road trip in Louisville on Thursday.
The All-Star festivities begin at Coca-Cola Park tomorrow with the Triple-A HR Derby at 7 p.m... Gates open at 5 p.m.
