Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The sixth-place IronPigs (18-31) play Game One of a four-game series at Fifth-Third Field against the second-place Toledo Mud Hens (28-22) -- Detroit's top affiliate. With a 4-3 loss in 11 innings last night, the 'Pigs were swept in four games in Columbus for a season-long four-game losing streak. In addition, Lehigh Valley has gone just 7-17 in its last 24 affairs... Toledo just went 4-4 on a North Division road trip -- winning their last two games against the Bisons to split in both Syracuse and Buffalo. Prior to the trip, they had won six consecutive games to improve from 18-18 on May 14 to 28-22 where the Hens are today.
RHP Drew Carpenter (5-4, 3.62) will start for LHV against RHP L.J. Gagnier (1-2, 2.76).
First-Pitch tonight is at 5:00 p.m.
