Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
After a rare day off, the fifth-place IronPigs (18-27) begin an eight-game West Division road trip with Game One of a four-game series against the first-place Columbus Clippers (28-19) -- the Cleveland Indian's top affiliate. With a 2-1 win on Tuesday, the 'Pigs won back-to-back games to salvage a split of their four-game series against Buffalo. It marked just the second time this season that Lehigh Valley won two in a row. Even so, Lehigh Valley finished 3-5 on the home stand and have gone just 7-13 in its last 20 affairs... Columbus returns from going 4-4 on an eight-game South Division road trip that ended by losing three of four in Charlotte. Once 22-11, the Clippers are 6-8 in their last 14 games.
LHP Brian Mazone (3-5, 4.21) gets the nod for LHV opposite RHP Josh Tomlin (5-1, 2.11).
First-Pitch is at 6:35 p.m. in Huntington Park, Columbus.
