Kellen Driscoll
Kellen Driscoll attended St. Ambrose University in Illinois. Driscoll is a gifted athlete and proven game changer. He forced 8 turnovers last season playing for the Mahoning Valley Thunder of the af2. His versatility at the linebacker position makes him an extremely valuable asset. Kellen's strong character and hard work ethic make him a perfect fit for the Iron.
Malik Jackson
Malik Jackson attended Western Illinois University, where he made a name for himself as a speedy wide receiver. Malik also has af2 experience, playing for the Quad City Steam Wheelers last season. His lightening fast speed has helped him earn Player of the Week Candidate on multiple occasions. His versatility gives him the ability to play both wide receiver and defensive back. Jackson has the potential to be an explosive weapon for the Iron.
Kellen Allen
Kellen Allen played college football for the Southern Illinois Salukis. He easily made the transition to professional football, signing with the Green Bay Blizzard of the af2 in 2007. Allen recorded 58 receptions in ten games for the Blizzard. He spent 2008 with af2 powerhouse Tulsa where he was among team leaders in receiving. Coaches describe Kellen as one of the most talented receivers in all of af2. Allen's size and speed make him an ideal target for any quarterback. Look for the Iron to get Allen into space early and often.
James Griffin
James Griffin is an instinctive and clever defensive back. Combine these attributes with his raw athleticism, and it is easy to see why Griffin has been so successful. James played for the IFL's Alaska Wild in 2008, where he recorded 13 interceptions in 13 games. His remarkable season lead him to finish second in the league in interceptions. Griffin possesses true game changing ability, making him a valuable asset to the Iron defense.
Anthony Harris
Anthony Harris attended the University of Western New Mexico. He went on to play four seasons with the Rock River Raptors of the UIF. Harris quickly became known as one of the most talented defensive linemen in the entire league. At 6'4 and 296 pounds, Anthony is an intimidating and powerful force. Harris spent 2007 with the NFL's Carolina Panthers, where he was given an opportunity to learn from some of the world's best defensive linemen. His raw determination and leadership ability will help make others around him better.
James McCoy
James McCoy attended North Carolina A&T State University, where he returned over half of his nine career interceptions for touchdowns. His performances lead him to be named Second Team All-MEAC his senior year. McCoy then made the transition to professional football, where he played two seasons with the Florida Firecats of af2. McCoy's big play potential may prove to be valuable for the Iron this season.
Greg Mills
Greg Mills attended the University of Central Arkansas, where he was named to the All-GSC second team in 2005. Greg also played in the National All Star Game in Texas in 2006. At 6'2 and 305 pounds, Mills is an extremely physical nose guard that could end up anchoring the center of the Iron's defensive line. Greg is a hard working player with tremendous upside.
Hasan Stewart
Hasan Stewart is a gifted cornerback that hails from Hempstead, New York. Stewart has always been an exceptional athlete. As a former track star, Hasan possesses the speed necessary to play the cornerback position at the highest level. Stewart spent training camp with the Green Bay Blizzard in 2008. This experience may prove to be valuable as Stewart enters the 2009 season with the Milwaukee Iron.
