Inter Miami CF (11W-2L-5D, 38 points) played out a 2-2 at home tonight against the Columbus Crew, extending our unbeaten run to seven this regular season. Goals from striker Luis Suárez and Academy product Noah Allen secured the point tonight at Nu Stadium.

Additionally, captain Leo Messi and midfielder Rodrigo De Paul returned to action with the team tonight following their participation at the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

Lineup Notes

Inter Miami took the field with Rocco Ríos Novo in goal; Facundo Mura, Fricio Caicedo, Micael, and Noah Allen formed the back four; Yannick Bright, Casemiro and Rodrigo De Paul started in midfield; Daniel Pinter, Suárez, and Mateo Silvetti led the team in attack.

Notably, with his start, Caicedo made his MLS debut after being signed by Inter Miami this summer.

Match Action

Inter Miami pulled ahead early on with a banger in the 16th minute. Suárez caught the goalkeeper off his line and chipped him from long range with his 10th goal this regular season and his seventh in the past four matches. The strike saw the legendary Uruguayan striker make history, as he became just the fifth player in MLS history to record at least 10 goals and five assists in each of his first three seasons in the league.

The visitors equalized in the 34th minute.

Inter Miami reclaimed its lead right before the half in the fifth minute of added time with Allen's first goal this regular season. A through ball from De Paul found Suárez in space down the right side of the box, where he delivered an inch perfect cross for Allen to head the ball home. The assist, meanwhile, took Suárez's tally to six assists this league season.

The second half presented an even matchup, with Columbus ultimately equalizing in the 84th minute.

Despite Inter Miami's efforts, finishing the match with several attempts from Messi in the closing stages, the 2-2 scoreline remained unchanged.

Next Match

Next, Inter Miami will begin its Leagues Cup 2026 campaign by hosting Atlético de San Luis this Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 7:30 p.m. ET in the team's first Phase One matchup.
