Injury Sidelines Another Stealth Player

Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth announced today that they have lost defensive specialist Lee Vaughn for the rest of the 2003 season. Vaughn suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the loss at Tennessee Valley on Saturday night. The injury is the same one that was suffered a week earlier by Stealth offensive specialist and af2 leading scorer Michael Dritlein.

"This is another huge loss for us," said interim head coach Sean Ponder. "Lee has been the anchor of our defensive backfield this season, and he was just returning from injury"

Vaughn was ranked ninth in the league in tackles (43), and was voted af2 ADT Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the April 19th victory at Green Bay.

STEALTH NOTES: Offensive/Defensive Lineman Noah Drucker suffered a strained calf muscle and is listed as day-to-day...The Stealth travel to San Diego this week to take on the San Diego Riptide on Saturday night.
