
Indy Alley Cats announce head coach, open tryouts

Indianapolis, IN. Rob Blackwell, owner of the ABA Indy Alley Cats professional basketball team that begins play in November today announced that Greg Graham would serve as Head Coach. Blackwell stated, "I would like to thank Greg and his family for becoming part of this organization. Greg will bring his on and off the court leadership that he has displayed in his career as a student, player and a coach."
Graham added, "I am excited to be given the opportunity of becoming the first Head Coach for the new ABA expansion team in Indianapolis. I look forward to making the Indianapolis team competitive in this first season. I want to thank Rob and Reggie for the confidence in my ability to coach at this level of professional basketball. I also want to thank my family for their support in my decision to coach this team."
A former player at Indiana University from 1989-1993 under the leadership of Bob Knight, during his career at Indiana, Greg was part of two Big Ten titles and a berth in the 1992 NCAA Men's Final Four. He is the only player in Big Ten history to lead the league in field goal percentage (55 percent) and 3-point field goal percentage (53 percent) in the same year. Graham played five years in the NBA and finished his career in Europe.
