Erie Explosion News Release

Erie, PA - The Erie Explosion have announced the signing of wide receiver Kevin Concepcion to a contract for the 2011 season. Concepcion (6'2, 215) a product of the University of Buffalo, burst onto the scene last season for the Rochester Raiders and established himself as one of the top receivers in professional indoor football. A threat to score whenever he touches the football, Concepcion finished the 2010 IFL season with 921 Yards on 65 Receptions, 30 TDs, and 14.2 yards per reception. His 186 total points and 31 touchdowns led the entire 25 team Indoor Football League in scoring, and were tops among any WR playing professional indoor football in 2010. For his accomplishments Kevin was named to the 2010 All-IFL First Team as a Wide Receiver.

Concepcion figures to continue lighting up scoreboards and opposing defenses as a vital cog in Erie's pass-happy offensive system in 2011. "Kevin Concepcion is one of the top-flight receivers in professional indoor football, and I can't wait to turn him loose on defenses in 2011. He is a great fit for what we like to do with our passing game, and the weapons we have on offense will make it impossible for defenses to key on Kevin. Erie fans can look forward to seeing him in the end-zone early and often this year," commented Erie Explosion Head Coach Shawn Liotta.

The Erie Explosion, proud members of the Southern Indoor Football League, will open training camp in March 2011. For more information on the Erie Explosion and the SIFL visit www.southernifl.com
