
Indiana Alley Cats Record First Victory of Season

Minot, ND (December 4, 2005) - The Indiana Alley Cats beat the Minot Skyrockets 102 - 97 for their first victory of the season. The Alley Cats were able to take 5 quarter points in the victory. The team that wins each individual quarter receives one point and the team that wins the game receives three points. At the end of the season the quarter points will decide who makes the playoffs. The Alley Cats improved to 1-2 on the season with the victory.
Rookie Will Caudle came up huge for Indiana with an astounding 40 points and 8 rebounds. He had 20 points at halftime and followed it up with another 20 in the second half. The Alley Cats also had three other players in double figures with Erick Barkley scoring 17, Damon Jackson tallying 15, and Shaun Fountain adding 10 points. Fountain also had 8 assists to lead the club in that department. Indiana was out-rebounded on the boards 38 - 30, but was able to make up for it by shooting 51% from the field.
Former high school standout Lenny Cooke led Minot with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Minot had two other plays score at least 20 points. Ray Cunningham had 21, while Jitim Young added 20. The loss drops the Skyrockets to 1-2 on the season as well.
The Alley Cats continue their 4 game road trip Wednesday night at Pittsburgh. Game time is scheduled for 7:05. Following that game, they come home to host the Minot Skyrockets in their home opener, Sunday afternoon at 3:00. All home games will be played at the Anderson High School Wigwam.
