THE IMPACT ON THE WEST COAST
The Montreal Impact is playing, Thursday, its 22nd game of the season (10th of 14 on the road) against the California Victory, one of two USL First Division expansion franchises, at Kezar Stadium, at 10 pm (USLlive.com). This is the first of four consecutive games the Impact will play on the road. The team will then meet the Vancouver Whitecats, Saturday, at Swangard Stadium, at 10 pm. Note that the Impact has not lost in its last four games (2-0-2) and has lost only once on the road so far this season. MIAMI FC 0 IMPACT 0
The Montreal Impact and the Miami FC tied 0-0, last Friday, in front of 10,663 spectators, at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex. With this tie, the Impact is still only five points behind first place in the United Soccer Leagues First Division standings, held by the Portland Timbers. The Impact remains undefeated (2-0-3) in five games against the Miami FC. In five match-ups, the Impact has still not conceded any goals to their Florida rivals. NEEDHAM NAMED IMPACT BUILDER
The Montreal Impact honoured its former player Grant Needham, who was recognized as Team Builder, Friday, before the game against the Miami FC. The Impact paid tribute to his significant contribution in the club's history and in the development of soccer in the province of Quebec. He will act as ambassador for the club during some community-related and promotional activities throughout the province. Lloyd Barker, Patrick Diotte, Rudy Doliscat and John Limniatis were the first four players to be named Builders, on May 10, 2006. SOME IMPACT IN YOUR LIVING ROOM WITH SYMPATICO-MSN AND BELL

The Montreal Impact will hold its last public practice of the season on Tuesday, August 28, at 7 pm, at Maurice-Tessier Park, 1000 Plan-Bouchard Road, in Blainville. Presented by Jos Louis, the practice will feature drills, animation as well as the chance to win promotional items. The whole team and coaching staff will be on site and later on available for an autograph session. Team mascot Tac-Tik will also participate in the event.
