Illinois Piasa Add 2nd Player To Squad, Marco Flores
November 21, 2010 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL)
Illinois Piasa News Release
The Piasa has added to their roster attacking defender, Marco Flores. Marco was born in Mexico, but has lived here for about 13 years. Marco is an original Piasa member, who played for the Premier League team for 3 years. He has been described as being a strong and athletic attacking defender who can tackle the big boys while possessing an incredible shot. Marco scored the winning goal for Piasa FC in a local indoor Championship a couple years ago.
Head Coach of Illinois Piasa, Jerry Lakin, had this to say about Marco, "He's a great defender and very competitive. He's young but smart. He'll be great for us in the back. He's a team player with great work ethic that I hope will rub off on the other guys."
Illinois Piasa plays in the Frontier Division of the PASL Pro. It is the first year playing in the PASL Pro. The Piasa will play their first game on December 4, at 8:30pm against the Cincinnati Kings Reserves squad. The Piasa home games are played at Soccer For Fun in Granite City, IL.
