
IHL Announces First Team All-Stars

ROCHESTER, MI--- The International Hockey League (IHL) announced today the 2008-09 First Team All-Stars as selected by league head coaches, general managers and members of the media.
2008-09 IHL FIRST TEAM ALL-STARS
Goaltender - Nick Boucher, Fort Wayne Komets
Defenseman - Guy Dupuis, Fort Wayne Komets
Defenseman - Darryl McArthur, Muskegon Lumberjacks
Forward - Jon Booras, Bloomington PrairieThunder
Forward - Todd Robinson, Muskegon Lumberjacks
Forward - P.C. Drouin, Fort Wayne Komets
Nick Boucher (G), Fort Wayne Komets - The 28-year-old native of Cobble Hill, British Columbia completed the regular season with a 32-14-1-6 record. He ranked first among IHL goaltenders in wins (32), goals against average (2.34), save percentage (.919) and minutes played (3204:35). Boucher's 32 wins set a personal career high for the Komets netminder. He also went on an impressive 15-game unbeaten streak from March 3rd thru April 8th, which included a 10-game winning streak. Boucher was honored with the Southern Sports Supply IHL Goaltender of the Year last week.
Guy Dupuis (D), Fort Wayne Komets - The 38-year-old native of Moncton, New Brunswick ranked first among defensemen in the league with 67 points, scoring 16 goals and dishing out 51 assists. He also led all defenseman in goals (16), assists (51), shorthanded goals (3) and power play assists (28). Dupuis led the league in plus/minus rating with a plus-34. He was named the Pepsi IHL Defenseman of the Year last week.
Darryl McArthur (D), Muskegon Lumberjacks -The 30-year-old native of Oshawa, Ontario registered 46 points in 76 games played in his tenth year as a pro. His 46 points ranked third among IHL defenseman in scoring. His plus-29 rating was tied for second among the IHL, as well as defensemen. McArthur registered nine multi-game point streaks this season, opening the season with a five-game point streak.
Jon Booras (F), Bloomington PrairieThunder -The 26-year-old Billings, Montana native finished the regular season with a career high in goals (40), assists (60) and points (100). His 100 points ranked him second in the IHL in scoring. He led the league in shots on goal with 313. Booras registered 10 multi-game point streaks this season, going on an eight-game point streak from December 12th thru December 30th. He earned four Pepsi Player of the Week honors as well as Pepsi Player of the Month for January.
Todd Robinson (F), Muskegon Lumberjacks - The 30-year-old native of Trail, British Columbia native led the IHL in scoring with 112 points (23g, 89a). He posted nine multi-game point streaks this season, including an eight-game assist streak where he registered 14 assists during the span. Robinson earned three Pepsi Player of the Week honors as well as the IHL Most Valuable Player and the IHL Scoring Champion for the 2008-09 season.
P.C. Drouin (F), Fort Wayne Komets -The 34-year-old St. Lambert, Quebec native finished his thirteenth professional season scoring 32 goals and 66 assists for 98 points, all three being career highs. In his 75 games played this season, he led the Komets team in scoring. Drouin went on an IHL high nine-game assist streak from December 5th thru December 26th, registering 11 assists during that time. He also went on an impressive 12-game point streak, registering 19 points.
