The Ignition has asked approximately 30 players to participate in the club's invitation-only combine this weekend. The combine marks the next step for players competing for a spot on the 2007-08 Ignition roster. The annual event will take place on Friday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Saturday, September 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Last season's combine featured current Ignition players Droo Callahan, Ryan Mack, Doug Rice and Worteh Sampson.
The Detroit Ignition is a member club of the Major Indoor Soccer League, and begins the team's second season in October 2007 after advancing to the MISL Championship Finals during the 2006-07 season.
