
IFL Game of the Week Moved to Tucson

The Indoor Football League announced its IFL Game of the Week on Stadium for week nine will feature the Tucson Sugar Skulls (1-3) hosting the Massachusetts Pirates (3-3) inside the Tucson Arena in Tucson, Arizona, on Saturday, June 19, at 8 p.m. CT.
The Sugar Skulls come into the matchup off a loss to the Arizona Rattlers, 44-34, in week eight. Quarterback Demry Croft shook off a slow start in the first quarter to jump start the Sugar Skulls offense in the second and third quarters. Croft helped the Sugar Skulls battle back and keep the game tight by racking up 142 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air, with 70 rushing yards on 11 attempts.
TT Barber and the Tucson defense held the opposition to under 50 points for a fourth straight game to open the season. Barber led the team in tackles with 10 solo and two assisted.
The Pirates find themselves in a similar situation looking to bounce back after a loss at home to the Frisco Fighters, 40-33.
Quarterback Alejandro Bennifield threw 9-of-18 through the air for 128 yards and three touchdowns along with one rushing touchdown. Bennifield is tied for second in the league with eight rushing touchdowns and ninth gaining 4.8 yards per carry.
Running back Justin Stockton did not play last week vs. Frisco, still he leads the IFL in carries with 55 and is third with 245 rushing yards.
