
IFL Announces Week Seventeen Players of the Week

The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 17 of the 2022 season. Vegas Quarterback, Cameron Dukes is the Offensive Players of the Week. Arizona Defensive Back, Dillion Winfrey, earns Defensive Player of the Week. Special Teams Player of the Week goes to San Diego Kick Returner, Ishmael Adams.
Cameron Dukes - OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Knight Hawks offense has hit new altitudes in the latter half of the season. Over the first eight games Vegas averaged 30.3 points per game. In the seven games since, they have averaged 44 point per game. Including a 65-point explosion last week against Bay Area. Quarterback Cameron Dukes was unstoppable. Dukes went 25 for 39 for 315 yards and six touchdowns. 315 yards is the highest single game total the league has seen this season.
Dillion Winfrey- DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
It was the game of the week. Two of the most impressive teams throughout the season battling for supremacy in the Western Conference. Northern Arizona has won eight in a row, including a win over Arizona just three weeks prior. That all came to an end with the Rattlers holding the Wranglers to just 28 points in a 40-28 win. Defensive back Dillion Winfrey collected 7.5 tackles, one interception and one pass breakup. The interception was key. The Wranglers threatening to pull within one score with 4:29 left on the clock when Winfrey snagged the interception in the end zone sealing the win.
Ishmael Adams - SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
San Diego may be out of playoff contention but their play on the field gives their faithful something to be excited about. Two weeks ago, they obliterated Bay area 66-26 and last week they lost a nail-biter to playoff team, Tucson. One specific bright spot was the play of Ishmael Adams. He returned eight kicks for 158 yards for an average of 19.75 yards per. Not to mention he was a finalist for Defensive Player of the Week as well with six tackles, one pass breakup and a forced fumble.
Week 18 features all 14 teams with six games on Saturday and one on Sunday. There are massive playoff implications throughout the entire lineup. Catch all of the action on the IFL YouTube Channel.
