IFL Announces 2019 Hall of Fame Finalists

June 3, 2019 - Indoor Football League (IFL) News Release


The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to recognize the ten finalists for the 2019 class of the IFL Hall of Fame.

The three-member Hall of Fame Class of 2019 will be revealed on Monday, June 10, 2019. In addition, during game festivities at the 2019 United Bowl, the newest members will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

IFL fans are encouraged to assist in the selection process. Fans can vote for Hall of Fame finalists via polls on the IFL's official website, www.GoIFL.com, and social media pages using, #IFLHOF. Voting will close on Sunday, June 9 at 11:59 PM CT.

Finalists listed in alphabetical order:

MICHAEL BAZEMORE (DL, BILLINGS OUTLAWS, SIOUX FALLS STORM)

Defensive Lineman for the Billings Outlaws and the Sioux Falls Storm. Bazemore is a three-time United Bowl Champion (2009-2011). He is a two-time All-IFL team selection. During his IFL career, Bazemore registered 163 tackles, 24 sacks, 2 INTS, and 5 forced fumbles.

ROCKNE BELMONTE (K, CEDAR RAPIDS TITANS, WICHITA FALL NIGHTHAWKS)

Kicker for the Cedar Rapids Titans (2013-15), Wichita Falls Nighthawks (2016-2017). Belmonte was named the 2014 IFL Special Teams Player of the Year. A four-time All-IFL selection, Belmont was named as a First Team All-IFL selection in 2014, 2016, and 2017 and as a Second Team selection in 2015. Belmonte is second in IFL history in field goals made (87) and extra points made (312).

WILLIE COPELAND (DB, ARKANSAS DIAMONDS, GREEN BAY BLIZZARD, CEDAR RAPIDS TITANS, COLORADO ICE/CRUSH)

Quarterback for the Green Bay Blizzard, Cedar Rapids Titans and Colorado Ice/Crush. As a member of the Ice, Copeland was named the 2014 IFL MVP. During that season, he lead the Ice to a 10-4 record and the Intense Conference Championship game. He was also a First-Team All-IFL selection in 2014. For his career, Copeland ranks third all-time in IFL history in passing yards (9,284) and fourth all-time in passing touchdowns (194).

JAVICZ JONES (LB, TEXAS REVOLUTION, IOWA BARNSTORMERS)

Linebacker for the Texas Revolution and Iowa Barnstormers. During his four year IFL career, Jones was named the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year as a member of the Iowa Barnstormers and was a three-time All-IFL selection. He was named as a First Team selection in 2015 and 2017. He was named to the Second Team in 2014. One of the most productive tacklers in IFL history, Jones topped 100 tackles in three out of his four IFL seasons. Jones finished his career with 540 tackles, third most all-time.

KYLE KAISER (WR, COLORADO ICE/CRUSH)

Wide Receiver for the Colorado Ice/Crush. During his five year IFL career, Kaiser was named a four time All-IFL selection. Upon his retirement after the 2017 season, he was the first IFL WR to be named to three consecutive First Team All-IFL lists (2013-2015). He was named to the Second Team in 2017.Kaiser finished his career with 295 receptions, 3,939 receiving yards and 98 touchdowns. His 98 touchdowns rank fourth in IFL history. He is one of only five wide receivers in IFL history to catch 20 touchdowns in three or more years.

HOUSTON LILLARD (QB, TRI-CITIES FEVER)

Quarterback for the Tri-Cities Fever. Lillard is a two-time All-IFL Selection (2011, 2012). He led the Fever to consecutive Intense Conference Championships during the 2011 and 2012 season. For his career, Lillard ranks third in IFL history in both touchdown passes (208 and completions (855). He also ranks fourth all-time with 9,102 passing yards.

BRYAN PRAY (WR, WEST MICHIGAN THUNDERHAWKS, LA CROSSE SPARTANS, GREEN BAY BLIZZARD, CEDAR RAPIDS TITANS, SPOKANE EMPIRE, IOWA BARNSTORMERS

Statistically the most productive wide receiver in IFL history, Bryan Pray finished IFL career with the most receiving yards (5,613) and all-purpose yards (6,751) in IFL history. During his eight year IFL career, Pray caught 407 passes for 5,613 yards and 118 touchdowns. His 407 receptions and 118 receiving touchdowns both rank second all-time. Pray was a three-time All-IFL selection and was named the the Second Team All-IFL list in 2013, 2015 and 2016.

MYNIYA SMITH (OL, BILLINGS OUTLAWS,SIOUX FALLS STORM)

An eight time United Bowl champion, Smith anchored the Billings Outlaws and Sioux Falls Storm offensive lines from 2009-2017. During his eight year IFL career, Smith was named as a First Team All-IFL selection six times from 2011-2016. Smith consistently helped the Storm have one of the most explosive offenses in the IFL during his career

STEVEN WHITEHEAD: (WR, TRI-CITIES FEVER)

Wide Receiver for the Tri-Cities Fever (2011-2015). A dynamic playmaker, Whitehead and Houston Lillard formed one of the most prolific passing attacks in IFL history. Whitehead was a key contributor on the Fever's 2011 and 2012 Intense Conference Championship teams. He is a two-time All-IFL selection (2012, 2015). During the 2015 IFL season Whitehead caught 81 passes for 1,032 yards, and 17 TDs. For his efforts he was named IFL Offensive Player of the Year, the first Wide Receiver to earn the honor. For his career, Whitehead registered 310 receptions for 3,502 yards, and 68 TDs.

DIXIE WOOTEN: (QB, RIVER CITY RAGE, WICHITA WILD, NEBRASKA DANGER)

During three seasons of play in the IFL, Wooten totaled; 5,712 passing yards, 133 passing TDs, a career 61% completion percentage, 620 rushing yards, and 29 rushing TDs. As a member of the Wichita Wild during the 2010 season, Wooten was awarded the Adam Pringle Award (equivalent to the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year). He is currently the head coach of the Iowa Barnstormers. He led the Barnstormers to a United Bowl victory in 2018 and was named IFL Coach of the Year in 2017 and 2018.
