Idaho's Barlow, Kalamazoo's Kharin Named AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performers For October

PRINCETON, N.J. - Idaho Steelheads rookie left wing Evan Barlow and Kalamazoo Wings rookie left wing Anton Kharin are the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performers of the Month for October after leading the league with a plus-minus rating of +9.

Barlow was +2 in four games and was even or better in all seven games during the month. He tied for second on the team and for fourth among league rookies in October with four goals while his six points were fourth on the team and tied for ninth among league rookies. The 23 year old played the last four seasons at Cornell University where he had 61 points (28g-33a) and 143 penalty minutes in 126 games.

Kharin was even or better in all seven games during the month including back-to-back games against Reading on Oct. 25 and at Wheeling on Oct. 30 where he was a career-best +3. The 24 year old tied for second among league rookies and led the K-Wings in October with seven assists while his nine points tied for the team lead and tied for third among league rookies. He played the last three seasons at Rochester Institute of Technology where he had 54 points (30g-24a) and 114 penalty minutes in 101 games.
