Ice's Krug Honored by USHL

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice announced today that defenseman Matt Krug was named the USHL's Defensive Player of the Week.

Krug started 2012 off on a high note scoring three points (1G, 2A) in two games, one of which was the game-winning goal in a 3-2 contest over the Waterloo Black Hawks on Friday night. He added two more points with an assist and a power play assist against Youngstown on Saturday.

The Buffalo, NY native is playing his first USHL season with the Ice after spending last season with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres in the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Krug and the rest of the Indiana Ice hope to build on their five-game win streak this Friday (1/13) against Team USA at the Pepsi Coliseum for Family Night presented by RevolutionEYES. The Radio Disney Road Crew and SpongeBob SquarePants will be at the game to celebrate Family Night. The first 100 fans at the gates can purchase $10 tickets for only $5.

Tickets for this weekend's home game start as low as $10 and there is a $2 discount for children 10 and under and seniors 62 and over.
