Following their second weekend off in November, the IceRays kick off December with their second trip to the Ector County Coliseum to begin a two-game end-of-week set against the Odessa Jackalopes. The IceRays were swept in their series opener for the four time in five seasons on Nov. 13-14, dropping to 0-1-1 while earning a point through a shootout. The Jackalopes have bested the IceRays at the Ector County Coliseum, winning 14 of 26 meetings while the IceRays own the franchise series at 29-14-3.
South Division Recap:
Make it six-straight wins for the Wichita Falls Wildcats who traversed to the Permian Basin to take on the Odessa Jackalopes for a weekend sweep, their third-striaght, while taking down the Lone Star Brahmas in a mid-week game at the NYTEX SportsCentre. Not only that but the Wildcats have now won eight of their last nine games dating back to November 7. The Brahmas kept pace with the NAHL's best team, dropping the Amarillo Bulls in back-to-back games at home to earn two wins in a three-game week. The Topeka RoadRunners also kept pace with the top-two teams thanks to their second-straight sweep of the Springfield Jr. Blues in as many weeks in their second-to-last meeting of the season across divisions.
South Division Standings:

Lone Star Brahmas 15-2-4, 34 points
Topeka RoadRunners 15-11-0, 30 points
Odessa Jackalopes 10-8-2, 22 points

ICERAYS BITS...
This weekend begins an eight-game schedule for the month of December while being active in four of the next five weeks. The IceRays will play two teams across the entire month: Odessa and Amarillo. Back-to-back weekends against the Bulls are sandwiched by two-game series against the Jackalopes. Each team will play a weekend set at home while the IceRays host the Jackalopes in a mid-week set before their treacherous travel to Topeka in a four-game, five-day arrangements that has the IceRays traveling around 900 miles on New Year's Eve.
IN THE COMMUNITY...
The IceRays will be making an appearance on Saturday, Dec. 5 starting at 1:00 p.m. from the Beef Jerky Outlet on South Staples Street at The Shops at La Palmera. A few players will be joining the staff in sampling jerky while meeting customers to kick off the holiday shopping month.
