Corpus Christi IceRays News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - The Corpus Christi IceRays are proud to announce SportsRadio Corpus Christi will be the IceRays flagship radio station through the 2015-16 season. All road matchups and playoff games, with the exemption of the North American Hockey League Showcase, will be broadcast live on-air with Collin Schuck providing play-by-play in his first season with the IceRays. The affiliation also has a mutual option for a third season in 2016-17.
"We're very excited to be working with SportsRadio Corpus Christi," said Schuck. "Program Director Scott Howe has been working with us on the details throughout the summer, and we are both pleased with the result. It's going to be a great year for IceRays hockey."
In addition to being the flagship station for the IceRays, SportsRadio Corpus Christi will sponsor the Three Stars of the Game both at the American Bank Center and for all 60 regular season matchups and playoff games. The IceRays and SportsRadio Corpus Christi have partnered in the past and rejoin again starting this season.
"We enjoyed our relationship with the Corpus Christi IceRays in the past," said Howe, "and we are glad to have them back as part of the SportsRadio Corpus Christi family."
The first radio broadcast will be the season opener on Friday, September 12 against the Topeka Roadrunners in Kansas starting with Countdown to Faceoff at 6:50 p.m. CT and puck drop at 7:05 p.m.
