Port Huron Icehawks News Release
PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks announced that they have signed former University of Michigan forward Brandon Kaleniecki. Per team policy, details of the deal were not disclosed.
Kaleniecki (5-10, 200 lbs) returns to his home state after starting the season with the Wichita Thunder in the Central Hockey League. The 27-year old native of Livonia, MI, is in his fourth professional season. He played three seasons in the ECHL before signing with Wichita, and in total has recorded 74 points on 39 goals and 35 assists in 138 professional games.
He played four years for legendary coach Red Berenson at the University of Michigan (2002-2006) and wrapped up a decorated college career with 100 points on 64 goals and 36 assists. He also helped U of M to Frozen Four appearances in 2003 and 2006 and was invited to participate in the Frozen Four Skills Challenge in 2006.

Kaleniecki is slated to be in the lineup tonight as the Icehawks host the Fort Wayne Komets at 7 p.m. The Icehawks continue a busy week with a trip to Muskegon on Wednesday, before returning home for a game with the Flint Generals on Saturday and a rematch with Fort Wayne on Sunday.
Single game tickets for all Icehawks home games are on sale now at the McMorran Arena Box Office, any Ticket Master location or by phone. For more information, visit www.porthuronicehawks.com or call 810-966-3800.
