Icehawks and E&A Credit Union "Save" for Charity

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks and E&A Credit Union are teaming up for two exciting new promotions that will raise money for area organizations and give credit union members the chance to check out an Icehawks game for free.

For the remainder of the 2008-09 season, E&A Credit Union will donate $1 for each save made by an Icehawks goalie at McMorran Arena. For every save made by Icehawks goalie Larry Sterling, $1 will be donated to the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association. Every save made by Icehawks goalie Ryan Mior will mean $1 goes back to the St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council.

The promotion began on Wednesday when the Icehawks took on the Bloomington PrairieThunder. Mior made 25 saves, raising $25 for the Child Abuse and Neglect Council.

The Icehawks and E&A are also offering free tickets to members of the credit union. Present your E&A Credit Union membership card at the Icehawks office and receive a free ticket to the game on Friday, March 13 versus the Fort Wayne Komets. The Icehawks office is located at 325 Huron Avenue in downtown Port Huron.

"E&A and the Icehawks are both committed to giving back to the community and raising funds for these important organizations. The Icehawks and E&A are also proud to provide credit union members with a free ticket as a thank you for their patronage."

The Icehawks and PrairieThunder will wrap up a mini-series this weekend with games at Bloomington on Thursday and Saturday. The Icehawks then travel to Kalamazoo next Wednesday before returning home to take on Bloomington twice more next weekend.
