
IceGators Make Turnaround With Two Wins This Weekend

Lafayette, LA. November 2, 2009. The Louisiana IceGators made a turnaround this season with two wins this weekend against the Pensacola Ice Flyers and the Mississippi Surge.
On Friday, October 30th, the Louisiana IceGators beat the Pensacola Ice Flyers with a final score of 3-2. Over 2,000 fans stood to their feet with excitement as the IceGators completed their first win of the season.
Their hard work continued during Saturday night's game against the Mississippi Surge. The Louisiana IceGators played a tight game on Halloween night forcing the game to go into overtime. The game was tied at 4-4 when the IceGators began their shootout. The Louisiana IceGators scored the final shootout goal, to give them a 5-4 victory over the Mississippi Surge.
On Thursday, November 5th, the Louisiana IceGators will face-off with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. This game is dedicated to those who have served in the armed forces and the military. The IceGators military night will sell tickets for $5 to all active duty, reservists, and veterans of the armed forces. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. at their home in Blackham Coliseum.
