IceGators Hand Pensacola First Loss of Season

Lafayette, La.--The third time was the charm for the Louisiana IceGators.
After falling twice to the Pensacola IceFlyers in the last five days, the IceGators got revenge by dealing the IceFlyers their first loss of the season with a 5-3 decision.
Tanner Burton led the IceGators with a goal and an assist. Jason Cohen also scored, marking the second consecutive game in which he recorded a goal.
The IceGators will return to the ice next Friday when they travel to Southaven to play the Mississippi RiverKings.
That was a great win for us, said IceGators head coach Drew Omicioli. I m extremely proud of the guys and how they fought the entire game. We showed ourselves that we are a team to be reckoned with when we play as a team for 60 minutes.
This is a turning point for the our squad. Now we have to take this momentum and run with it.
