Louisiana IceGators Signees Phil Bronner, Ryan Patsch and Jeremy Plourde

The Louisiana IceGators head coach Drew Omicioli has announced today that forwards Phil Bronner and center Ryan Patsch will be joining the team during October's camp. Also joining them in the attacking zone will be forward Jeremy Plourde, who will be making his professional debut this season.
Bronner's name might be familiar to IceGator fans. The University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth alumnus played for the Knoxville IceBears and the Mississippi RiverKings during the 2013-14 season. His career has also taken the 6'2", 215-pound forward to the Greenville Warriors and Elmira Jackals of the ECHL and the Watertown Wolves of the Federal Hockey League.
"I've heard really good things about Phil and his combination of skill to go along with his power forward presence," coach Omicioli said in reference to Bonner. "He's a player that uses his size and skill to make him a true offensive threat anywhere around the net."
Center Ryan Patsch also played for the Elmira Jackals, spending one game with the New York State franchise. Patsch, who stands 6'0" and weighs 195 pounds, played his junior hockey in Quebec, also played two seasons with the Federal League's Danbury Whalers. He scored 61 points in 56 games in the 2013-14 season with Danbury and 58 points in 48 games with the Whalers last year.
"Ryan is a player that has tremendous offensive skill and accompanies this with a very tenacious attitude to get under the skin of his opponents," Omicioli said. "In the film that I've seen Ryan has the ability to take over games offensively and is a player known to step up in big time situations."
Rookie Jeremy Plourde will take his first shot at professional hockey after playing the last three seasons in the Quebec Junior Hockey League. In his last three seasons he amassed 190 points in just 152 games. His 85 goals over these past three years demonstrates how effective at scoring he can be.
"He's young, but he's definitely going to be a player who will be competing for somebody's job this season," Omicioli said.
The IceGators begin the regular season on October 23 when they travel to Southaven, Mississippi, to play the RiverKings.
