GIVEN THE AXE: The Ice hit a speed bump on their seven-game road trip after earning one of four points in two weekend contests at Muskegon. The "Jacks" snapped off two third-period goals on Friday to topple the Ice 3-1. Indy jumped out to a 3-0 lead on Saturday before surrendering four second period goals en route to a 6-5 shootout setback. Sean Kuraly (G, 2A) and Daniil Tarasov (2G, A) led the Ice with three-points each on the weekend.

LEAVIN' STREAKS: With an assist on Friday and two points (G, A) on Saturday, Sean Kuraly extended his points and assist streak to five games...Kuraly enters this week's action third in the USHL in goals (27), tied for second in game-winners (10)...Daniil Tarasov has a goal in three straight games and is second in the league in points (59) and goals (30)...Kirill Lebedev is riding a three-game point streak with an assist in both contests last weekend.

CENTURY CLUB: With appearances in both games over the weekend, forward Daniil Tarasov became the 21st member of the "Indiana Ice Century Club" for games played on Friday. Through 101 games in Indy, the Moscow, Russia native has exploded offensively for 134 career points (67G, 67A) and 14 game-winning goals. Next up for the club looks to be defenseman Ryan Obuchowski who could eclipse the 100-game mark this weekend as he currently sits at 98 games. Current RPI defenseman Nick Bailen (05-08, 09-10) leads the Ice in games played at 220.

PLAYER NUGGETS: Joe Fiala tied the Ice season high with a +4 plus-minus rating on Saturday...Woody Hudson earned two points (G, A) in Saturday's contest at Muskegon...Dalton Izyk stopped all 13 shots he faced before departing Saturday's game due to injury...Jon Gillies tied former Ice netminder Casey DeSmith-New Hampshire for most all-time games in net (64) on Saturday.

TEAM HAPPENINGS: Indy is 8-0-0 on the road when leading after two periods...The Ice is 20-7-6 against the Eastern Conference...Indy is just 1-3 this year in shootouts and 1-2-1 on the current seven-game road trip.

25 YEARS IN THE MAKING: Former Ice blueliner Torey Krug (08-09) became the first defenseman in 25 years to win the CCHA scoring title this weekend. Krug shared the title with Notre Dame forward TJ Tynan and is the first Spartan d-man to earn the award. In his second season wearing the "C" for Michigan State, Krug as accumulated 32 points (11G, 21G) in 35 contests this year.
