Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Jon Gilles turned away all 30 Waterloo Black Hawks shots Friday, helping the Indiana Ice to a 2-0 home win at Pepsi Coliseum.
Indiana recorded the game's first goal during a power play with 2:04 remaining before the first intermission. Jacob Fallon found his own rebound and scored from his knees while being knocked to the ice in the slot.
The Ice tallied their other goal 26 seconds into the third when Christian Hilbrich flipped in a rebound after Hawks goalie Eamon McAdam had lost his stick. McAdam kept Waterloo close shortly after play resumed, turning away Sean Kuraly's breakaway, the finest of his 26 saves.
The Hawks and Ice match up again on Saturday in Indianapolis. The opening faceoff is slated for 6:05 Central Time. Waterloo's road trip concludes Sunday in Muskegon before the Hawks return home to host the Green Bay Gamblers on Saturday, November 5th at Young Arena.
