Ice, Steel Meet in Final Regular Season Fray of '12-13

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice closes out the regular season rivalry with the Chicago Steel on Wednesday when the two squads suit up at the Edge Ice Arena in Bensonville, IL.

Indy holds a 4-1-2 advantage over Chicago with four of the contests going into overtime and three being decided in a shootout. Mikhail Plotnikov leads the Ice with seven points (4G, 3A) in seven games against the Steel while Dalton Izyk is 3-1-1 with a 2.51 GAA and a .912 save percentage in five starts in net. Patrick Newell also has four assists in two contests since joining the roster in late January.

Plotnikov's three-goal afternoon propelled Indy in Sunday's 6-3 win at Chicago. Lukas Laub also finished the night with a pair of goals while Newell (3A), Bryan Yim (2A) and Jake Cass (2A) all recorded multiple-point efforts. Anderson Snair stopped 22 of 25 Steel shots on net for his fifth win of the season.

Indy wraps up the road portion of the 2012-2013 season with a pair of contests with the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Friday and Saturday before returning to Bankers Life Fieldhouse against Team USA on Saturday, April 6 for the final four home games of the campaign. The puck is set to drop at 7:05 pm.

Single-game tickets start at $11 for Bankers Life Fieldhouse games and general admission tickets for Pan Am Plaza games are $10. There is a $2 discount for children 10 and under and seniors 62 and over. Group Tickets are on sale now for $7. The Indiana Ice is also accepting ticket deposits for the 2013-2014 regular season. The $50 non-refundable deposit can be used on all ticket types ranging from individual and group tickets to flex, half and full-season packages.
