Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Ice look to add two more notches to the victory column this weekend as they travel north for a battle with the Chicago Steel on Saturday before returning to Bankers Life Fieldhouse for a special 6:05 pm matinee with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Sunday.
Indy is riding on the heels of a two-game win streak after topping the Youngstown Phantoms 4-3 in overtime on Wednesday. The Ice rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the third period to force the extra inning. Tyler Pham, Aidan Muir, Timothy Shoup and Tyler Andrew all logged a goal and an assist each while Pham's tally proved to be the game-winner after 61 seconds of play in overtime.
The Ice hold a 1-0-0 record against the Steel after scoring a decisive 4-1 win in the teams' first meeting earlier this month. Muir and Scott Conway led the charge offensively with two points (G, A) each while Pham and Austin Kosack also added goals in the effort. Jason Pawloski delivered a solid performance in net with 26 saves on 27 shots for the win.
This will mark the second of seven regular-season meetings for the two clubs. Cedar Rapids walked away with a 3-2 overtime victory in their first meeting on November 1 from Pan Am Pavilion. The RoughRiders built a 2-0 cushion before goals by Brian Pinho and Jake Cass forced the contest into the extra period.
Sunday's matinee contest will be played at a special 6:05 pm start time due to the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans game at 1:00 pm from Lucas Oil Stadium. Ice fans wearing their favorite Colts gear will receive half off a single game ticket at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse box office.
Group tickets are now on sale for all 2013-2014 Indiana Ice home games. Flex packages and additional ticket packages are available starting as low as $50. Special 4-game holiday ticket packages are also on sale for a limited time only. For more information, call the Indiana Ice at (317) 925-4423.
