INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Ice announced today the regular season schedule for the 2013-2014 campaign. All game dates, times and venues are subject to change.
The schedule will consist of sixty games for all 16 USHL member clubs, changing from the 64-game schedule in the 2012-2013 season. The Ice will again be splitting home contests between Bankers Life Fieldhouse and Pan Am Pavilion, formerly known as Pan Am Plaza.
Indy begins its quest for the 2014 Clark Cup Championship when the team opens the regular season on Saturday, September 21 against Team USA from the Ann Arbor Ice Cube. The home portion of the schedule opens the following weekend as the Ice host the Sioux Fall Stampede on Friday, September 27 at Pan Am Pavilion.
Other notable nights include Opening Night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Saturday, October 12 against the Youngstown Phantoms and the season home finale on Friday, April 4 against the Green Bay Gamblers. Indy will also host Youngstown on Saturday, February 8 for the annual Scout Night and will ring in the New Year on Monday, December 30 against the Muskegon Lumberjacks, both from Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Preseason action commences September 13-15 as the Indiana Ice host the first annual USHL Eastern Fall Classic from Bankers Life Fieldhouse and Pan Am Pavilion. The tournament will feature all eight teams from the USHL's Eastern Conference and will run in conjunction with the Bigfoot Hockey Showcase. The Bigfoot Hockey Showcase highlights over 30 youth and midget teams from across the nation, including local players from the Indiana Jr. Ice U16 and U18 programs.
Individual game tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster and the Bankers Life Fieldhouse box office on Monday, September 16 at 10 am.
