Ice Reduce Roster to 31 Players

Cranbrook, BC -- Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club, today announced the club has reduced their Training Camp roster to 31 players.

The ICE have added the following players to their exhibition roster:

Mackenzie Skapski 16 Abbotsford, BC Goaltender

Brett Teskey 17 Regina, SK Goaltender

John Neibrandt 18 Yorkton, SK Defenseman

Jeff Hubic 16 Regina, SK Defenseman

Michael Simpson 16 Surrey, BC Defenseman

Ryan Bloom 17 Calgary, AB Center

Levi Cable 16 Hudson Bay, SK Right Wing

Jarett Zentner 17 Red Deer, AB Center

Erik Benoit 17 Regina, SK Left Wing

Colby Cave 16 Battleford, SK Center

Jared Iron 16 Canoe Narrows, SK Center

Adam Rossignol 17 Surrey, BC Center

The ICE are eligible to return 19 veteran players and are now carrying four goaltenders, nine defencemen and 18 forwards. Of those, eight are attending NHL Camps (Brayden McNabb - Buffalo, Drew Czerwonka - Edmonton, Max Reinhart - Calgary, Joey Leach - Calgary, Matt Fraser - Vancouver, Kevin King - Dallas, Steele Boomer - Chicago, Hayden Rintoul - Florida)

The first home action for the ICE will be an exhibition game on Thursday, September 16 against the Tri-City Americans at 7:00 pm. Tickets will be available on Thursday, September 9 and will be $8 for 12 and under and $11 for 13 and older.
