Colorado Crush News Release
Fort Collins, CO - This week the Colorado Ice face the Wyoming Cavalry on Saturday, March 8th at 12pm at the Budweiser Event Center.
The Colorado Ice are also coming off a 30-41 loss against the defending champions, Sioux Falls Storm. This week they plan to show up stronger and improved. There are obviously some adjustments that need to be made after the first game of the season. Head Coach Heron O'Neal said this week the team "needs to execute the game plan better and establish better communication. Also, other players who didn't get a chance to play last week may have a chance this week in order to find what works."
The Cavalry is also coming off a loss in their first game 69-26 against the Tri-Cities Fever. The Ice need to be able to contain the Cavalry's dual quarterbacks with the passing abilities of Sam Durley and the rushing abilities of Chris Ware. Durley had 120 yards and one touchdown and Ware had 61 yards and two touchdowns. The key receiving players was Ricardo Johnson who had 73 yards and two touchdowns. What lost the game for the Cavalry was their three interceptions and fumble.
This is the Colorado Ice's first "Bring Your Dog to the Game Day!" The game will take place this Saturday, March 8th at 12pm at the Budweiser Event Center.
