
Ice Pilots Welcome New Staff Members

PENSACOLA, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots are proud to announce the addition of three members to its staff. Craig Cooper has been hired as a Corporate Sales Executive, Chad Weprin has been hired as Athletic Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Jason Schweinsberg has been hired as Equipment Manager.
Craig Cooper, a native of Mendham, NJ, comes to the Ice Pilots as a Corporate Sales Executive after a seven year career in professional baseball. After playing his college ball at Georgia Southern College, Cooper was drafted in the 5th round by the San Diego Padres in 1986. He played in the Padres, Brewers, and Indians organizations, making it to the AAA level, before retiring in 1994. Craig earned his B.S. at the University of West Florida and spent the past six years as a personal trainer at Gulf Breeze Fitness Center.
Chad Weprin, MS, ATC, starts his first season as the Ice Pilots Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach after spending last year as an Assistant Trainer with the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Chad received his Masters of Science in Sports Medicine from the University of Findlay, and has previous experience working with the Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL), the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL), the Toledo Storm (ECHL), and Team USA during the World Junior Championship and the USA National Championship.
Jason Schweinsberg comes to Pensacola as Equipment Manager after holding the same position last season with the Toledo Storm. Jason has nine years experience as an Equipment Manager, which included stops with the Bakersfield Condors (ECHL), the Kansas City Outlaws (UHL), and the Flint Generals (UHL).
