Keystone Ice Miners News Release

CONNELLSVILLE, PA - The Keystone Ice Miners, proud members of the NAHL, released the 31-man roster for training camp today.

"I am very excited to start the season on Monday with these 31 players," said head coach and GM Michael Gershon. "We feel that we have a good mix of players that fit our mold and are going to have very hard decisions to make during the two weeks of camp"

The roster includes eleven returning players from last year's Port Huron Fighting Falcons team, as well as five Pennsylvania natives. All players will arrive in Connellsville by Sunday and camp will begin Monday at the Ice Mine. Over the next two weeks, players will participate in on ice practices, video sessions, community and team-building exercises, and off-ice training activities.

"We have designed camp to see who has put in the hard work in the off season but also bring these players together as quickly as possible," said Gershon. "One of the staples of my training camps is having the US Marines work with our players. It's a great team building exercise, but it also works their physical and mental conditioning."

The roster will have to be down to 23 players by October 1st.

The Ice Miners inaugural season at The Ice Mine on September 13th against the rival Johnstown Tomahawks. Season ticket packages start at $220 for adults and are available for purchase in person at the ticket office. For more information, contact the Keystone Ice Miners office at (724) 626-1584.
