
Ice Lose Home Field Advantage for Playoffs

Fort Collins, CO-The Colorado Ice lost 55 - 67 to the Nebraska Danger. With this loss the Ice will be traveling to Grand Island on June 22nd for the first round playoffs. From the start of the game Nebraska was pressing the Ice defense and kept the lead throughout the game.
The Ice offense had its moments tonight but just not enough to catch the Danger. Justin Helwege (88) adds to his touchdown count by getting 2 impressive catches tonight. Not to over shadowed Kyle Kaiser (3) was also active on the receiving side getting over 100 yards along with Helwege.
Dennis Kennedy (7) had another good night of returns and rushing for the Ice, with 66 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. While having 8 kick returns for 114 yards. Kennedy also had 1 receiving touchdown with 3 catches for 23 yards.
The only sack of the night came from Rico McCoy (5) for a 2 yards loss. Corey Sample (20) lead the Ice defense with 5 unassisted tackles and 6 assists, while Jovan Jackson (24) had 5 unassisted tackles and 3 assists.
The Runza Player of the game is Justin Helwege (88) with 2 touchdown catches on 7 receptions for 110 yards and a 2 point PAT conversion. You can meet up with Justin at Runza of Loveland next Tuesday, June 11th from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
The Ice next play the Wyoming Cavalry on Saturday, June 15th at 6:00 PM. The Colorado Ice are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL).
