Brandon, MB - The Kootenay ICE (10-29-6-1) visit the Brandon Wheat Kings (17-18-3-3) for the first time this season on Friday, January 18.

The ICE are coming off of a 4-3 victory over the Regina Pats on January 16. The ICE received goals from Austin Schellenberg, Jakin Smallwood, Valtteri Kakkonen and Davis Murray. Goaltender Curtis Meger stopped 26-of-29 shots to collect his first victory as a member of the ICE. The Pats received goals from Brady Pouteau, Sebastian Streu and Duncan Pierce. The ICE were outshot 29-22. They went 1-for-5 on the power play, 7-for-9 on the penalty kill and won 27-of-58 face-offs.
The ICE have amassed 27 points this season, which is good for sixth in the Central Division and 10th in the Eastern Conference.

The Brandon Wheat Kings host the Kootenay ICE for the first time this season on January 18.
