Winnipeg ICE goaltender Gage Alexander made 51 saves, however a goal by Edmonton's Justin Sourdif at 8:03 of overtime gave the Oil Kings a 4-3 victory Monday night at Rogers Place.
Edmonton outshot Winnipeg 55-21 and now leads the WHL's Eastern Conference Championship Series 2 games to 1.
Jack Finley, Connor McClennon and Zach Benson scored for the ICE, who went 1/2 on the power play.
Dylan Guenther, Kaiden Guhle and Jalen Luypen replied for the Oil Kings. Guenther led all players in the game with 11 shots on goal.
Sebastian Cossa earned the victory in net making 18 saves.
The series continues Wednesday in Edmonton at 8pm Central.
