Ice Forward Wins Award

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Ice announced today that forward Daniil Tarasov was named the USHL's Offensive Player of the Week.

Tarasov scored six points (3G, 3A) in two games to help the Ice extend the road winning streak to a franchise-record seven games. He joins Ice forward Blake Coleman and former defenseman Anthony Bitetto (Northeastern) as the only Ice players to earn five points in a game.

His weekend began with a five-point (2G, 3A) performance in the 7-4 come-from-behind victory at Tri-City. He finished off the weekend by scoring his team-leading 16th goal of the season in a 5-1 rout on the road against Omaha.

Tarasov join Coleman, defenseman Jarrod Rabey and keeper Casey DeSmith as USHL weekly award winners this season

Tarasov and the rest of the Indiana Ice return to the St. Vincent Sports Rink at Pepsi Coliseum on Friday (1-21) at 7 pm to face the Waterloo Black Hawks. The team hits the road on Saturday for an 8:30 pm face-off with the Chicago Steel.
