Winnipeg ICE forward Conor Geekie scored twice in the second period and added an empty netter in the third to spark his team to a 5-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors Saturday night at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
Matthew Savoie and Zach Benson also scored as Winnipeg takes a three games to two series lead into Moose Jaw for Game Six on Monday.
The Warriors did have an early advantage on first period goals by Jagger Firkus and Brayden Yager.
The ICE outshot the Warriors 39-28, led Geekie and defenceman Ben Zloty who each registered five shots on goal. Warrior captain Denton Mateychuk led his team, also with five shots.
Daniel Hauser earned the victory in goal making 26 saves while Connor Ungar stopped 34 for Moose Jaw.
Both teams finished the game 0/1 on the power play.
