ICE Acquire Winnipeg Native Mike Ladyman from the Spokane Chiefs

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg ICE Hockey Club announced on Friday that it has acquired 2001-born defenceman Mike Ladyman from the Spokane Chiefs. In exchange, the Chiefs receive 2001-born defenceman Jordan Chudley.
As part of the deal, the teams also exchanged fifth round draft picks. The ICE acquired Spokane's fifth round pick in 2021 while Spokane received a 2020 fifth round pick (originally Spokane's).
Ladyman, from Winnipeg, MB, split time between the Winnipeg Blues (Manitoba Junior Hockey League) and the Spokane Chiefs (WHL) during the 2018-2019 campaign. The five-foot-11, 170-pound defender scored four goals and added 24 assists for 28 points in 26 regular season games with the Blues. He added three assists in six playoff games. In 22 regular season games with the Chiefs, Ladyman registered two assists.
Ladyman was also named to the MJHL All-Rookie Team in 2018.
